A conditional statement contains some reserved keywords, one or more conditional expressions, and one or more blocks of statements. Depending on which conditional expression evaluates to true, a block of statements is executed. If there are multiple blocks, all other blocks of statements are ignored. There are two types of conditional statements in Perl: the if statement and the unless statement.
